Bowen Technique
A simple and powerful way to relieve your pain
What is Bowen?
Bowen is giving significant pain relief to many thousands of people worldwide. It is a unique, gentle and effective ‘hands-on’ system of muscle and connective tissue therapy that is revolutionising pain management and many other health issues. The treatment promotes relief of pain, accelerated healing, correction of any misalignments you may have, and recovery of your vital energy. Simply stated, Bowen ‘resets’ your body to heal itself.
What will a treatment involve?
You will find it extremely gentle, subtle and relaxing. No force is used or needed, and no adjustment of hard tissue. A treatment usually lasts up to one hour, where sequences of precise moves are performed, with short periods of rest between, to allow your body time to initiate healing responses. It can be applied through light clothing if you prefer. You may experience immediate pain relief, although improvement is just as likely to unfold over the next week.
Who can benefit?
Bowen can safely treat men women and children of all ages. Common presentations are Back and Neck pain, and here Bowen excels. Other favourites are Migraine and Tension Headaches, Frozen Shoulder, Joint and Muscle pains, Asthma, Hay-Fever, Sports or work-related Injuries, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety/Depression, IBS, Menstrual/ Hormonal problems. Bowen is also a great way to manage stress, maintain flexibility, and keep you moving. Why not give Kim a call to discover how Bowen may help you.

Testimonial:
"I had been suffering for some months from particularly bad back and hip pain. When I saw Kim’s advert in the local paper for people to join a back pain study using the Bowen technique, I immediately contacted her. I knew a little about Bowen, as I had considered it when suffering from tennis elbow.
After a comprehensive chat about my symptoms, Kim started on the therapy, which I found gentle and soothing. During our chat she had discovered that I was also suffering from knee and neck pain, which along with the back pain was depressing me. Bowen can help with more than physical symptoms, and after a few sessions I was starting to see positive results with both the pain and my general wellbeing.
Bowen certainly works for me, after a series of treatments I now feel much improved and I am planning to carry on using Bowen for health maintenance with several sessions a year".
