FAQs

Is a pre-test necessary?

EVOLENCE is a natural product and through its exclusive Glymatrix technology it is able to mimic the properties of the natural collagen found in the skin.  Therefore, although an allergic reaction is theoretically possible, it is extremely rare.

Pre-testing is not a prerequisite to treatment with EVOLENCE.  Clients with a history of hypersensitivity, particularly known allergies to collagen would not be suitable.

Can I have EVOLENCE treatment if I am pregnant or breast-feeding?

The use of EVOLENCE during pregnancy or breast-feeding has not been tested and therefore is not recommended.

Can the treated area be exposed to sunlight or extreme cold?

During the first few days after treatment, exposure to extremes of temperature or to strong sunlight should be avoided to reduce the risk of inflammation.  However, after this time, you can go about your normal daily activities with no other treatment required.

How would I receive my treatment of EVOLENCE?

Before treatment, the injection site is prepared with an anaesthetic cream to minimize discomfort and pain.  EVOLENCE is then introduced via a fine needle just below the skin surface – the implant is slowly injected under the wrinkle as the needle is withdrawn.  The treatment should only take between 30 and 60 minutes, and the results are visible immediately.
